Incident response and on-call management in one app: Introducing Grafana Cloud IRM
At Grafana Labs, we’re always searching for ways to develop products that give our users the best tooling to help in their day-to-day understanding of their systems. We built OnCall and Incident in Grafana Cloud, our fully managed observability platform, to make it easier to respond to and fix incidents — all on top of the Grafana dashboards you know and love. We know that a smooth experience between these two tools allows responders to quickly understand the complexity in their systems and act quickly to return to stability. So we’re excited to announce that we are merging the OnCall and Incident apps into one unified Grafana Cloud IRM app and UI, which we announced today at ObservabilityCON on the Road in Chicago.

For existing users of Grafana OnCall (Cloud) and/or Grafana Incident, there won’t be any disruption to your services and no data will be lost. The new unified Grafana Cloud IRM app will roll out in all Grafana Cloud environments this month.
The future of Grafana OnCall OSS
As part of these changes, Grafana OnCall, the OSS project (grafana/oncall), has entered read-only, maintenance mode as of today (2025-03-11) and will be archived on 2026-03-24. Grafana OnCall (OSS) will remain fully open source, licensed under AGPLv3. We are, however, no longer contributing to the project outside of critical bug fixes and security fixes. The Cloud Connection feature that enables notifications via Grafana Cloud will also be turned off on 2026-03-24, so Grafana OnCall (OSS) users will need to migrate to other services for SMS, phone, and push notifications. Please refer to the Grafana OnCall OSS announcement blog post and the notification documentation for more information.
What’s new with Grafana Cloud IRM

With the Grafana Cloud IRM app, you’ll have a more consistent user experience across OnCall and Incident for better incident response and management. The app will also provide a new unified homepage for Grafana Cloud IRM, which puts alert groups and incidents in a single view.
This lays the groundwork to give you a more consistent user experience for functionalities such as a single webhook system, single integrations in both OnCall and Incident, and unified insights in the near future.
The Grafana Cloud IRM app will appear in the left-hand panel alongside other Grafana Cloud solutions. For the next month, we’ll continue to show the legacy OnCall and Incident apps in the panel along with a notification to guide users to the new unified IRM app. Existing links will also continue to work, redirecting users to the same page within the IRM app.

By merging the apps and codebases for OnCall and Incident into the unified Grafana Cloud IRM app, we are removing the duplication that users may have experienced managing two separate apps. This move also makes it possible for our development teams to move faster helping them provide a better experience to our users.
Overall, this unified IRM solution enables you to consolidate, customize, and automate core components of your incident response and management alongside your Grafana Cloud observability stack to give you faster response times.
