ObservabilityCON 2024 agenda spotlight: Hands-on workshops

We have an informative, inspiring, and jam-packed agenda planned for ObservabilityCON 2024.

In addition to the opening keynote, technical deep-dive sessions, and lessons learned from the community, we’re offering hands-on workshops on September 24 to help you sharpen your technical skills, learn how to get started with OpenTelemetry, and more.

This year’s workshop line-up includes:

Introduction to observability with Grafana Cloud

The session card for the Grafana Cloud workshop.

Learn best practices to monitor modern applications and use Grafana Cloud’s observability workflows to identify issues, troubleshoot, and find root causes quickly. Through a combination of metrics, logs, traces, and black box monitoring, you’ll gain practical insights into observability techniques, and have the opportunity to observe a modern microservices application running on Kubernetes.

Introduction to OpenTelemetry

The session card for the OpenTelemetry workshop.

Explore the fundamentals of OpenTelemetry — including signals, terms, tools, and best practices — for modern observability, and learn how to get started quickly with these open standards with Grafana Cloud. You’ll walk through powerful monitoring and troubleshooting workflows to reduce MTTR, and use OpenTelemetry signals to debug and resolve a problem.

Introduction to Grafana Cloud Logs powered by Loki

The session card for the Cloud Logs workshop.

Learn how to get started with Grafana Cloud Logs, a fully managed logging system powered by Grafana Loki. Guided by our expert solutions engineers, you’ll learn best practices and workflows for shipping, exploring, querying, and visualizing log data. You’ll also get to experience the power of the Explore Logs app to quickly navigate through vast amounts of log data, and learn how to uncover valuable insights from log patterns.

Note: a separate ticket is required to attend a workshop, and can only be purchased alongside a full conference ticket.
