Grafana Labs named to the Inc. Best Workplaces 2021 list

A lot can change in a year, and the last year in particular was a memorable one. At Grafana Labs, the pace of growth we delivered over the last 12 months has been nothing short of breathtaking: We’ve welcomed more than 250 people — all during a global pandemic that continues to cause disruption and heartbreak for our team members around the world. Due to travel restrictions, we haven’t met over 60% of our team in person. 

Even for a company that has been distributed since day one, that’s quite something. Being remote-first is a core tenet at Grafana Labs, but making sure that new Grafanistas have as strong a sense of our priorities and culture as the original team when we can’t meet each other in person has certainly been an interesting challenge. Through all of that external turmoil and internal growth, it’s been really important to us that we work hard to preserve but also evolve our culture.

With that in mind, we’re absolutely delighted that we were recently recognized by Forbes as a 2021 Best Startup Employer, and today, for the second year in a row, Inc. named Grafana Labs one of the best places to work. Growing at this pace is exciting, but hitting our headcount targets isn’t the real goal. Building a great company that we’re all proud to work for is what motivates us.
