Supplemental Terms for AI Features

Legal and Security › Supplemental Terms for AI Features

These Supplemental Terms for AI Features (these “Terms”) supplement the Grafana Labs MSA or another agreement entered into by Customer and Grafana Labs (the “Agreement”) and apply to generative artificial intelligence features Grafana Labs makes available to customers as part of certain Grafana Products (the “AI Features”). These Terms control in the event of a conflict with the Agreement. Capitalized terms used and not defined in these Terms have the meanings given to them in the Agreement.

Identification of AI Features. Grafana Labs will identify AI Features within the Grafana Products (such as “AI Feature”, “uses AI”) or in the Documentation.

Grafana Labs Obligations. Grafana Labs will not use Customer Data to train models or permit its subcontractors, including third-party AI providers, to use Customer Data to train their models.

Customer Obligations, Disclaimers.

a) Input and Output Use. Input is Customer Data under the Agreement. Output, to the extent specifically related to the Input, is Customer Data under the Agreement. Customer is solely responsible for its use of Output, including use of independent human review and verification that Output is appropriate for Customer’s use case.

b) Restrictions. Customer may not provide Input that violates any third-party rights or applicable laws or represent that any Output is human-generated or otherwise endorsed by Grafana Labs or its subcontractors.

c) Disclaimers. Output is generated through artificial intelligence processes, including using technology provided by third-party subcontractors, who may process Customer Data (more detail can be found in the Documentation and the list of subprocessors found at grafana.com/legal). Grafana Labs does not warrant Output to have been tested, verified, endorsed, or guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current. Due to the nature of the AI Features, Output may not be unique to Customer and the same Input may generate differing Output. If any provision in these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.

Definitions.

“Input” means any information, material, or other input Customer or its Users provides through an AI Feature.

“Output” means any output generated and returned to Customer or its Users by an AI Feature to the extent based on Input. Underlying models, APIs, technology, and templates are not Output.
