At The LEGO Group, Lorenzo Setale and Paul Farver are passionate about building digital products that empower teams. After working on the company's managed Kubernetes offering, they are now part of the Observability Platform team, where they apply their learnings to deliver observability as a service.

They have found that standard, pre-baked Grafana dashboards do not always provide useful insights – particularly not in a digital product organization where user needs vary wildly.

In this session, Lorenzo and Paul share the Dashboard Framework they developed to give diverse users an easy way to express their observability needs. This opinionated approach focuses on how to present telemetry data rather than dictating what telemetry data to present. Users tell the framework what data is valuable, and it builds the dashboard brick by brick using the Grafana Foundation SDK.

This session is for platform engineers who want their users to make insightful, actionable, and consistent dashboards so that even a manager could use them.
