GrafanaCON 2024: A look at this year’s agenda

GrafanaCON 2024: A look at this year’s agenda

6 Mar, 2024 3 min

Update: GrafanaCON 2024 is officially sold out, but you can still sign up for the waitlist and join us virtually for our keynote recap webinar.

GrafanaCON 2024 is just over a month away, and today, we’re thrilled to present the first look at this year’s agenda.

Taking place in Amsterdam, April 9-10, GrafanaCON is our annual conference focused on all things Grafana and its extended open source ecosystem. This year’s event is in person (for the first time in five years!), which means there will be tons of opportunities to connect with fellow members of the Grafana OSS community. In addition, GrafanaCON features two full days of technical talks, live demos, and user success stories that highlight all the amazing ways our community uses Grafana — from monitoring moon landings to helping preserve Dutch literature for the digital age.

An overview of the GrafanaCON 2024 agenda

Starting with the opening keynote on Tuesday, April 9, this year’s agenda has a lot to be excited about, including the next major release of both Grafana and Grafana Loki. Here’s a closer look at what to expect.

From the Grafana Labs team

Grafana Labs team members will share the latest developments to our OSS projects, as well as best practices and insights to advance your observability strategy. Some specific session topics include:

  • A deep dive into Grafana 11 and all the new features for data visualization, incident response, and more
  • What’s new in Grafana Loki 3.0, including native OpenTelemetry support and bloom-filter query acceleration
  • A look at our new open source Grafana App Platform and how it helps developers create complex apps tightly integrated with Grafana
  • Tips and tricks for using Grafana Alerting
  • Leveraging LLMs to create intelligent Grafana apps
  • Updates to the Grafana plugin and data source ecosystem
  • Strategies for building interactive BI dashboards for non-technical users

From the community

User voices are an integral part of any GrafanaCON event. This year, community members will take to the stage to share how they’re using Grafana and its extended open source ecosystem for some fascinating, creative, and (quite literally) stellar use cases. Some of our GrafanaCON 2024 user stories include:

  • Grafana in space: Monitoring Japan’s SLIM moon lander in real time
  • How Planted ramps up food production faster with Grafana’s single pane of glass
  • How CERN monitors the world’s largest computing grid with Grafana and Mimir
  • 4,000 dashboards of beer on the wall: Monitoring Heineken’s connected breweries with Grafana and advanced analytics
  • From silence to signals: Data management and monitoring at the Royal Dutch Library

Other agenda highlights

In addition to the opening keynote, technical sessions, and user success stories, the GrafanaCON 2024 agenda includes:

  • The hallway track: Meet up with your connections from the Community Forum, LinkedIn, and other social channels.
  • OSS office hours: Connect with project maintainers for Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Mimir, Pyroscope, k6, Faro, Beyla, and more.
  • Unconference: Suggest and vote on topics for community-led discussions onsite during GrafanaCON.
  • Hands-on IoT lab: Learn how to monitor IoT setups with Grafana. (Pre-registration required, and all seats are filled.)
  • The second annual Golden Grot Awards: We’ll showcase the top three dashboards in each category (professional and personal), and celebrate the grand prize winners on stage.

Can’t wait to see everyone in Amsterdam next month!

The countdown to GrafanaCON 2024 has begun! If you can’t make it in person to Amsterdam, you can also sign up for our keynote recap webinar following the event.
