GrafanaCONline Day 1 recap: Opening keynote with Grafana Labs leadership

2020-05-14 2 min

GrafanaCONline is live! We hope you’re able to catch the great sessions we have planned over the next couple of weeks.

The conference kicked off yesterday with a keynote from Grafana creator Torkel Ödegaard, Grafana Labs CEO Raj Dutt, and VP of Product (and Cortex co-creator) Tom Wilkie.

Raj took us on a walk down memory lane as he told the history of Grafana Labs (and GrafanaCon) up to now and highlighted some cool dashboards from the community. Tom covered developments around the Grafana Cloud metrics and logging SaaS platform, including Loki, Cortex, Metrictank, Grafana Agent, and worldPing. And Torkel offered the story of the Grafana project from his first tweet about it on Jan. 1, 2014, to some teasers about the upcoming 7.0 release.

Plus, big news: Active Grafana installations have passed 550K.
