About the updates to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

We’ve updated our Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy
The updated Terms and Privacy Policy are effective immediately for new users beginning July 10, 2026.
For existing users, these updates will take effect on August 26, 2026. After that date, you will be asked to review and agree to the updated Terms and acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy when you log in.
Our use of your personal information from that date onward will be subject to the updated Terms and Privacy Policy. You can read the full documents below, along with a summary of important changes.

More clarity on acceptable use and security expectations We’ve expanded guidance on prohibited activities (e.g., misuse, scraping, impersonation, or security violations) to help protect users and the integrity of the platform.
Clearer account and organizational responsibilities We’ve added more detail on account management, credentials, and responsibilities when using Grafana within teams or organizations.
Updates to reflect how Grafana services and community resources work We’ve clarified how the Terms apply across grafana.com, community forums, documentation, and other linked experiences.
Clarification of rights related to user feedback and contributions We’ve clarified how feedback and contributions may be used to improve Grafana.
Standard legal updates We’ve added provisions such as dispute resolution terms, including arbitration and class action waiver information.
Updates to the Privacy Policy
We’ve updated our Privacy Policy to provide more transparency about how we handle personal information. The updates include:

Our commitment to open source These updates do not change open-source licenses or how our open-source projects are governed by such licenses.
Customer agreements If you use Grafana through a company or enterprise agreement, those agreements continue to govern that relationship.
What you need to do
If you are a user that signed up for a Grafana account before July 10, 2026
Review the updated Terms and Privacy Policy
The next time you log in, you’ll be asked to confirm your agreement
If you continue to use Grafana after August 26, 2026, that use will be subject to the updated Terms and Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms or Privacy Policy, you should discontinue use of the services and may close your account at any time.
