As of March 11, 2025, Grafana OnCall OSS entered maintenance mode while Grafana focused development on the unified Grafana Cloud IRM experience.
As of March 24, 2026, the Grafana OnCall OSS project is archived. The grafana/oncall GitHub repository is read-only. This page summarizes what changed and your options.
Timeline and impact
March 11, 2025: Grafana OnCall OSS entered maintenance mode
- The project moved toward read-only archival; no new features were developed
- Critical bug fixes and security patches (CVEs with a CVSS score of 7.0 or higher) were still addressed until archival
March 24, 2026: Grafana OnCall OSS was fully archived
- The grafana/oncall repository is read-only
- Cloud Connection support ended
- Mobile app push notifications for OSS users through Cloud Connection are no longer supported
- SMS and phone call notifications that relied on Cloud Connection are no longer supported
Options if you use Grafana OnCall OSS
The archived software may still run in your environment, but the repository is read-only and there is no ongoing product development.
Continue using Grafana OnCall OSS
If you keep running the OSS version:
- Existing deployments can continue to operate in your environment.
- Your on-call schedules, integrations, and workflows may remain operational.
- You must use alternative notification services for phone, SMS, and mobile push notifications that previously depended on Grafana Cloud.
Caution
Certain OnCall OSS notifications relied on Grafana Cloud services. Cloud Connection and those Cloud-dependent features ended on March 24, 2026. For more detail, refer to the Cloud Connection update section.
Migrate to Grafana Cloud IRM

Cloud Connection update
Grafana OnCall OSS used Cloud Connection with Grafana Cloud for SMS, phone, and push notifications. That integration ended on March 24, 2026. Use alternative notification solutions if you still run OSS.
Affected features
- Mobile app push notifications: OSS users no longer receive push notifications through the Grafana IRM mobile app via Cloud Connection.
- SMS and phone call notifications: SMS or voice notifications that relied on Cloud Connection no longer function through that path.
Alternative notification options for OSS users
Consider these alternatives:
- Push notifications: Use a third-party notification service such as Pushover, Gotify, or ntfy. Refer to Configure push notifications for step-by-step instructions.
- Phone calls and SMS: Configure your own Twilio account credentials (or other supported providers) for phone and SMS notifications. Follow the instructions in Configure phone and SMS notifications.
