Let’s zoom out and see where Fleet Management fits in your observability journey. You’ve been working at Level 1—Infrastructure Foundation. This is about answering the question “Is my infrastructure healthy?”

Fleet Management is a force multiplier for Level 1. It doesn’t add new observability capabilities—it makes your existing capabilities manageable at scale. You still need integrations to collect metrics and visualize them, and alerting to notify you of problems. But Fleet Management ensures those capabilities work consistently across your entire fleet.

If you’re running more than a handful of collectors, Fleet Management transforms your operational model. Instead of managing each collector individually, you manage them as a fleet with consistent configuration and centralized monitoring.

From here, you might want to explore other Level 1 courses to expand what your collectors are collecting. Or you might move to Level 2 and start looking at service-level visibility. The foundation you’ve built with Fleet Management will support whatever you do next.
