Choose a data source

Choose a learning path

Looking for a different data source?

We have learning paths for the data sources above. For InfluxDB, Loki, Elasticsearch, CloudWatch, PostgreSQL, Google Sheets, or any of the 150+ other data sources, use the data source documentation. The docs include setup instructions, query examples, and troubleshooting tips.

Script

Pick the data source that matches your environment. If you’re new to data sources, Prometheus or Infinity JSON are great starting points. Prometheus connects to a metrics server, and Infinity JSON lets you pull data from any API.

A Grafana Cloud account is helpful if you want to follow along and configure a data source yourself, but it’s completely optional. You’re welcome to read through any learning path to get a sense of what’s involved, even if you’re not ready to configure one yet.
