  • Or select “Create alert” to set up alerting on the logs

Script

Just like with metrics, you can add log findings to dashboards directly from Grafana Logs Drilldown.

When you’ve filtered logs to show something useful, like errors from a specific service, you can save that view as a dashboard panel. The filters, search terms, and visualization settings carry over.

Log panels in dashboards help you monitor patterns over time. You might create a panel showing error rates, warning volume, or logs containing specific keywords. These panels update continuously as new logs arrive.

The workflow is the same as with Metrics Drilldown. Explore, find something worth monitoring, add to dashboard. The difference is you’re working with logs instead of time series.

You’ll practice this in the upcoming learning path.
