Declare and respond to incidents from the IRM mobile app

The Grafana IRM mobile app allows you to manage and respond to incidents directly from your mobile device. You can stay informed and take action without needing to access a computer.

From the Home screen, the My active incidents section shows the incidents you’re assigned to or otherwise involved in, helping you stay updated on critical issues.

To explore all incidents, tap Browse in the bottom navigation bar, then tap Incidents. The page has three tabs:

  • Mine: Incidents assigned to you.
  • Active: Any ongoing incidents across your stack.
  • All: A complete list of all incidents.

Access incident details

To view incident details, tap the incident to open its detail screen, which has Overview, Timeline, and Attachments tabs.

  • Status and severity: Monitor the incident’s progress and updates from the Overview tab.
  • Join related meetings: If there is a meeting associated with the incident (for example, a Zoom or Google Meet link), tap the link in the Attachments tab to join the conversation.
  • Incident chat: Tap Open in Slack or Open in Teams at the bottom of the screen to access the dedicated channel for real-time collaboration.
  • Open in browser: To see additional information or take actions that aren’t yet available on mobile, tap the share icon in the app bar to open the incident in your mobile browser.
  • Post-incident reports: Open and review reports from the Attachments tab when available.

Declare an incident from the mobile app

Quickly declare a new incident directly from the Grafana IRM mobile app to ensure timely escalation and response to critical issues.

Declare an incident from the Home screen

To declare a new incident from your mobile app:

  1. Tap the + icon in the top right corner of the Home screen.
  2. Select Declare incident.
  3. Fill in the incident details, including title, initial status, severity, and any labels.
  4. Tap Create to declare the incident.

Declare an incident from an alert group

If an alert group should be escalated to an incident for more immediate attention, you can declare an incident directly from an alert group.

  1. From any alert group tile, tap the three-dot More icon to open the actions sheet. You can also do this from the alert group details screen by tapping the three-dot More icon at the bottom.
  2. Select Declare incident.
  3. Complete the incident form and tap Create.

The new incident appears in My active incidents on the Home screen and is linked in the alert group Details tab.
