Privacy and security

We take your privacy and security seriously and are implementing the following measures to ensure your data is protected:

  • Database data is encrypted
  • Access is limited to the team building the Assistant
  • Your data will only be used to improve the Assistant, not for model training or publicity

Grafana Assistant operates within the user’s browser, inheriting the same permissions as the user. Its tools primarily interact through the same APIs that the Grafana frontend uses. User conversations and feedback are securely stored and encrypted in Grafana Cloud.

User feedback collected through the in-app feedback mechanisms (thumbs-up/down icons and feedback text) is securely stored and encrypted. This feedback is used to improve the assistant’s performance and is only accessible to the development team. Feedback is linked to specific conversations to help improve the service. Access to user conversations is limited, and data from these conversations may be used for quality improvement purposes with user permission.
