Privacy and security

We take your privacy and security seriously and are implementing the following measures to ensure your data is protected:

  • Database data is encrypted
  • Access is limited to the team building the Assistant
  • Your data will only be used to improve the Assistant, not for model training or publicity

Grafana Assistant operates within the user’s browser, inheriting the same permissions as the user. Its tools primarily interact through the same APIs that the Grafana frontend uses. User conversations and feedback are securely stored and encrypted in Grafana Cloud.

The in-app feedback form is managed via Google Forms, with responses accessible only to the assistant development team. Your feedback may be shared anonymously for internal discussions. Some feedback (thumbs-up/down icons) is stored with a relationship to the conversation it refers to; this helps the team improve the service but will only be done with your permission. Access to user conversations is limited, and data from these conversations may be used for quality improvement purposes with user permission.
