Manage playbook settings
Note
Preview feature: Playbooks are currently in preview. Functionality may change in future releases.
Visibility scope
Control who can see and use your playbook:
- Tenant (Everybody): All users can view and use it
- User (Just me): Only you can see it
Note: Only the creator can change scope. Open the playbook, click Edit, change Scope, and save.
Toggle Visible to agents to make the playbook searchable by the Assistant:
- Enable: For general knowledge, architecture info, or shared procedures
- Disable: For drafts or commands
Changes trigger re-indexing (may take a few moments).
Slash commands
Create a shortcut command to execute the playbook directly in chat:
- In the playbook sidebar, find Slash command and click Enable.
- Enter a command name (1-24 characters, lowercase, numbers, hyphens only).
- Click Save.
Edit or disable: Edit the command name or click Disable to remove it. Command names must be unique within your tenant.
Visibility: Commands respect playbook scope—tenant-wide playbooks make commands visible to all users; user-only playbooks make commands visible only to you.
Context items
Link dashboards or panels for quick reference:
- Click Add context in the editor.
- Select resource type and choose the dashboard/panel.
- Add a description explaining why it’s relevant.
Remove: Click the remove icon next to the context item.
Creator and editor information
View who created the playbook and who last edited it, along with the last updated timestamp, in the playbook sidebar.
Delete playbooks
Click Delete and confirm. This permanently removes the playbook, its slash commands, and removes it from Assistant search.
Troubleshooting
- Scope change blocked: Only the creator can change scope.
- Visibility to agents not updating: Wait for re-indexing or try disabling/re-enabling inclusion.
- Settings not saving: Check write permissions.
