Configure baseline sampling

The baseline sampling rate is an opt-in feature that sets a default sampling rate for any service you haven’t configured manually. Enabling this feature helps you manage data ingestion and costs for new or services that aren´t configured without affecting your existing custom configuration.

Complete these steps to enable the baseline rate.

  1. Navigate to Administration > Plugins and data > Plugins > Adaptive Profiles.

  2. Toggle the Enable baseline rate to on.

    After it is enabled, any service without a custom sampling rate uses the 10% baseline rate. If the feature is toggled off, the baseline rate is 100% sampling.

    This setting does not override any of your custom rates. Enable this to generate insights for all services. Manually configured services generate insights regardless of this setting.
