Review and apply recommendations

When the system identifies an opportunity to reduce cardinality, a recommendation appears on the Recommendations page. Your first action is to review the recommendation. If you agree with it, you can apply it, knowing your existing dashboards and alerts will continue to work seamlessly.

  1. Navigate to Adaptive Metrics.

  2. Click the Rules tab.

    A list of rule recommendations appears.

  3. (Optional) To filter the rules list for a specific metric, type part of the metric name under Filter.

  4. Under Recommendation type, select the type of rule recommendations you want to view. Available rule recommendation types include Add, Keep, Remove, and Update.

    The rules list updates based on the type you select.

  5. To review the details of a recommended rule, including the Recommended rule information and Metric usage stats, expand the rule from the rules list.

  6. Select which recommendations you want to apply or select Apply all recommendations.

  7. To confirm your rule updates, click Apply.
