Configure Assistant rules
Use these task guides to configure behavioral rules that shape how Grafana Assistant responds across every conversation. Rules live in Settings > Assistant behavior and apply automatically, so you can set house style, enforce best practices, and surface the metrics or workflows your team relies on.
Before you begin
- Preview access: Ensure you enabled Grafana Assistant in your Grafana Cloud stack.
- Permissions: You need RBAC rights to read and update Assistant rules for your scope (personal or tenant-wide).
