Manage dashboards with Assistant

Open this hub whenever you need to translate observability requirements into dashboards without wading through panel configuration screens. Each workflow focuses on a single task so you can jump straight to creating, refining, or extending dashboards and leave with a usable result.

When to use this hub

  • You are starting a new dashboard from scratch and want the Assistant to scaffold the structure.
  • An existing panel needs clarification, optimization, or an updated query.
  • Stakeholders require reusable variables or cleaner layouts for consistent analysis.

Prerequisites

  • Edit permissions: You must have permission to create or modify dashboards in the target folder.
  • Data sources configured: Mention relevant data sources with @ so the Assistant generates accurate queries.
  • Requirements captured: Have a short list of the metrics, logs, traces, or business KPIs you need to visualize.
  • Prompting etiquette: Describe the outcome in natural language, break complex requests into smaller steps, and correct the Assistant politely when it misses a detail.
