Configure dataset for GCP
Configure how the knowledge graph processes GCP metrics from Cloud Provider Observability. This configuration determines which GCP projects and regions to monitor and how to filter the data.
For background on dataset configurations, environment labels, and cloud region labels, refer to Manage dataset configurations.
Complete the following steps to edit a dataset configuration for GCP:
Sign into Grafana Cloud and click Observability > Configuration.
Click Connect knowledge graph.
Next to GCP, click Edit.
Complete the following fields:
If you want to add additional filters, complete the following steps:
Click + Add filter.
Populate the fields with filter values and an operator.
You can add multiple filters.
You must use a label that exists in the all the required metrics. Refer to Troubleshooting for a list of metrics.
To specify which frameworks to include in your dataset, toggle the Advanced options switch and select or deselect one or more software development frameworks.
GCP-specific frameworks that may be detected include:
- GCP Compute Engine - Google Compute Engine VM metrics via Stackdriver
- GCP Cloud SQL - Google Cloud SQL metrics via Stackdriver
By default, the knowledge graph detects new frameworks. You can exclude them from your datasets.
Optionally, add more environments.
Click Save GCP settings.
