Experimental Agentic testing is removed from Testing & synthetics

What is changing

On October 26, 2026, Agentic testing is being removed from Testing & synthetics. We’re taking this work into Grafana Assistant as a new experience. You won’t be able to view, edit, or re-run the tests it generated, and you can’t export those definitions. Recreate any journeys you still need before that date. Results from past runs stay in the Agentic Testing project until your retention window ends.

Why we’re changing it

Agentic testing was released in June 2026 as an experimental feature to understand whether plain-language test generation would be a useful way to create browser tests (for example, a sign-in flow or checkout process). Those learnings are informing ongoing work into AI-powered testing capabilities, and we’re taking that work in a different direction going forward.

What is not changing

Standard k6 browser test authoring is not affected; you can still write and run browser tests using k6’s browser testing APIs and existing scripts. Results and logs from test runs you previously executed through Agentic testing remain available in Grafana Cloud k6, under the “Agentic Testing” project, for as long as your account’s retention window covers them.

What to check before this rolls out

  • If you use Agentic testing today, note that after October 26, 2026, the app under Testing & synthetics is removed along with access to the tests it generated. You will not be able to view, edit, or re-run those tests, and there is no way to export the test definitions themselves. Recreate any journeys you still need before that date.
  • Results and logs from past runs remain accessible under the “Agentic Testing” project in Grafana Cloud k6, subject to your normal retention window. Save anything you need from those results before the retention window lapses.
