Say goodbye to black-box agents with Agent Observability
Agent Observability is now generally available in Grafana Cloud. Agentic workloads need observability just like everything else you run, but it’s harder to see into how an agent reasons, what tools it calls, or where it quietly degrades. Agent Observability brings that behavior into the light, tightly integrated across Grafana Cloud and Grafana Assistant so it lives right next to the rest of your telemetry.
At its core is a new, fifth telemetry signal: agent sessions. Alongside metrics, logs, traces, and profiles, you can now treat agent conversations and sessions as first-class signals. Correlate across all five, drill into any conversation down to the individual exchange, evaluate output quality, catch policy violations, and surface risks like data exposure earlier.
What you can do:
- Observe: get insight into agent inputs, outputs, and execution flows, correlated with your telemetry.
- Evaluate: score response quality continuously and alert when pass rates drop, so regressions don’t slip by.
- Guard: enforce policies in real time, blocking hallucinations, drift, PII exposure, or dangerous tool calls before the model responds.
- Experiment: test and compare agent versions before you rollout.
- Optimize costs: see exactly what each agent spends, per agent, model, and session.
