Assistant Investigations is now generally available in Grafana Cloud
Assistant Investigations is now generally available. It’s Grafana Assistant’s way of running longer, deeper investigations for you: point it at an alert or incident, and it explores your metrics, logs, traces, and profiles, builds hypotheses as it learns more, and produces a structured report with findings, supporting evidence, and recommended next steps.
You don’t have to launch it by hand, either. Add an alert enrichment with the Assistant Investigations enricher, or wire up IRM webhooks, and an investigation starts automatically — so by the time you open it, the work is already in progress.
You can follow along in the conversation, add hints or corrections, and when you’re ready, steer the Assistant to turn the findings into incident updates or follow-up tasks.
There’s more you can do with it:
- Collaborate as a team: share with your team so everyone can review the same report, weigh in, and stay on the same page during response.
- Customize how it works: tailor to your environment with MCP connections, rules, and skills, so the investigations run with your context and conventions.
- Run it where you work: start and review investigations from within the platform, Slack, the Grafana Cloud MCP server, or gcx in the terminal.
