Grafana Assistant powered by OpenAI is now in private preview
We’re excited to announce the private preview of Grafana Assistant powered by OpenAI models. Anthropic models have been the backbone of Grafana Assistant so far. Now you can try the Assistant experience powered by OpenAI instead: when enabled, all requests are routed to OpenAI models rather than Anthropic ones.
The Assistant works the same way you’re used to. Ask questions, generate or refine queries, and get guided next steps — now on a different underlying model.
Once your access is approved, you’ll receive setup instructions for enabling OpenAI-powered Assistant in your organization.
Note: This is a private preview and features may change before GA. Currently, OpenAI routing is supported only for the Assistant sidebar and Workspace. Other surfaces — investigations, Assistant in Slack, and similar — aren’t included yet.
