The Grafana Cloud app for Slack now supports a more complete incident response workflow, making it easier to declare, manage, and resolve incidents directly in Slack.

Get started faster with the new App Home page, which provides quick access to dashboards, IRM configuration, on-call schedules, and Assistant settings. First-time users also receive a welcome message with guided actions to connect their account and begin using the app.
Take action from anywhere in Slack. Redesigned help messages, updated modals, and interactive actions make it easier to declare incidents, update severity, assign roles and tasks, and escalate to the right responders. The declare incident modal now includes support for labels, privacy settings, channel prefix, and configurable start time. The escalate action allows you to page additional responders directly from the incident channel, using a searchable user or team picker.
Automatically brief your team. The new Incident Briefing feature posts a customizable message to the incident channel upon creation or when specific conditions are met. This enables you to surface runbooks, contacts, and any other valuable context, when and where it’s needed.
View dashboards without leaving Slack. Paste a Grafana dashboard or panel link into any channel to render an inline image preview.
Ask @Grafana anything. The Grafana Assistant is built into the app, allowing teams to ask questions in any channel without switching context. For example, you can ask “Who is on call for the platform team right now?” or “How do I create an SLO for my service?” and receive answers inline. During an active incident, the Assistant can help diagnose issues by pulling in relevant data, summarizing the situation, and suggesting next steps.
