FOCUS: Standardized Cost and Usage Data

We’re excited to announce the general availability of FOCUS support in the Cost Management and Billing app!

FOCUS (FinOps Open Cost and Usage Specification) is an open industry standard for cloud cost and usage data. With FOCUS in Grafana Cloud, you can easily export and analyze your observability spend using consistent, interoperable data formats

Key features include:

• Standardized cost data: Access Grafana Cloud usage and cost data in the FOCUS v1.2 open format
• API access: Programmatically download cost datasets for automation and integration
• Flexible analysis: Use FOCUS data with spreadsheets, BI tools, or FinOps platforms
• In-app downloads: Retrieve FOCUS datasets directly from the Cost Management and Billing app
• Hourly granularity: Analyze cost and usage trends with detailed hourly resolution
