Deprecation of /api path

Grafana is moving to /apis, an API layer that powers the App Platform and gives us a more consistent, scalable foundation going forward. With Grafana 13, we are officially deprecating the /api path in favor of the new /apis path. Deprecating /api marks our commitment to this new model.

This change won’t disrupt or break your current setup; all /api endpoints remain fully accessible and will continue to work. We are not disabling or removing anything, until any further notice. However, we will stop making updates to /api routes, which brings more stability for anyone depending on them today.

For APIs that have already migrated, migration guides are available at Migrate to new APIs. For all other APIs, we will publish migration guides as the new endpoints become available. In the meantime, you can explore the new /apis structure in our documentation or using the API reference.
