MongoDB & Replica Set — Full Overview
A Grafana dashboard for monitoring a MongoDB replica set via the Percona mongodb_exporter + Prometheus.
Requirements
- Prometheus scraping a Percona
mongodb_exporter - The exporter started with these flags:
--compatible-mode --collector.replicasetstatus --collector.dbstats --collector.topmetrics --collector.indexstats --collector.diagnosticdata
Import
- In Grafana: Dashboards → New → Import
- Upload
mongodb-dashboard-clean.json(or paste its contents) - When prompted, select your Prometheus data source
- Open the dashboard and set the Instance variable (top left) to your target host
What's in it
| Section | Shows |
|---|---|
| Overview | Up/down, this node's role, connections, page faults, replica member status table |
| Replica Set | Member state, health, ping, replication lag |
| Sync Status | In-sync / lagging / out-of-sync per member, plus last-synced timestamp |
| Database Activity | Reads/sec and writes/sec per database, DB sizes |
| Operations | Command ops, document ops, query efficiency, queued ops |
| Resources | Memory, WiredTiger cache, connections trend, asserts |
| Cursors | Open cursor counts |
Notes
- All queries filter on
instance="$instance"— make sure that variable is set or panels will show no data. - Some panels use label names specific to this exporter build (e.g.
mongodb_ss_metrics_documentwith adoc_op_typelabel). If your exporter version differs, a panel may need its query adjusted.
