SMSEagle Gateway Monitoring

Full health, messaging, and environment observability for an SMSEagle hardware SMS/voice gateway, everything is pulled from the device's APIv2.

What it shows

Modem & signal — signal strength per modem, enabled state, SIM status, and network registration
Messaging — inbox / outbox / sent / delivered / error counts across SMS, WhatsApp, Signal, and email
Services — SNMP, MQTT, Email2SMS (+ poller), data connection, and SMPP subsystem status
Device — firmware update availability, support-contract expiry, and HA failover state
Environment — temperature & humidity from attached sensors

Requirements

A Prometheus data source holding smseagle_* metrics. The ready-made collector - json-exporter mapping + Grafana Alloy config - is available on GitHub, along with an offline mock for testing without the device:
