Add the Infinity data source

In this section, you add the Infinity data source to your Grafana Cloud instance and give it a meaningful name.

To add the Infinity data source, complete the following steps:

1. In Grafana Cloud, click Connections, then click Data sources.

2. Click Add new data source.

3. Search for Infinity.

4. From the search results, click the Infinity tile.

5. To rename the data source, click the edit icon next to the data source name, then enter a meaningful name.

You added the Infinity data source and gave it a name you can recognize on your dashboard panels.

The name of the data source is displayed on the dashboard panels, so it’s important to choose a meaningful name. If there are multiple data sources for a dashboard panel, the default toggle determines which data source appears by default.
