# Install the Infinity data source plugin

The Infinity data source plugin is not installed by default. In this milestone, you search for the data source and install it. Watch video ->

To install the Infinity data source plugin:

1. Sign in to your Grafana environment (for example, `mystack.grafana.net`).
2. From the navigation menu on the left, click **Connections > Add new connection**.
3. Enter `Infinity` in the search bar and press **Enter**.
4. Click the **Infinity** tile.
5. In the upper-right corner, click **Install**.
   
   You receive an `Install requested, this may take a few minutes.` message.

In the next milestone, you will add the Infinity data source to your Grafana Cloud instance.
