Add Elasticsearch as a data source

Grafana includes built-in support for Elasticsearch. In this milestone, you add the Elasticsearch data source to your Grafana Cloud instance.

Let’s walk through the steps together.

  1. In the navigation menu, navigate to Connections > Data sources.

  2. Click Add new data source.

  3. In the Search field, enter Elasticsearch.

  4. From the search results, click Elasticsearch.

In the next milestone, you’ll configure the connection details including the URL, authentication, index name, and time field.
