Add an Organize fields by name transformation

To use the organize fields by name transformation, complete the following steps:

1. Open your dashboard in edit mode.

2. Click Transformations tab and click + Add transformation button.

3. Select or search for Organize fields by name.

4. Use the following table as a guideline for all the actions available.

   Expand table

   Actions	When to use
   Change field order	When you want to change the field order, either manually or automatically.
   Hide or show a field	When you want to hide fields that are not relevant.
   Rename fields	When you want to customize the field names.

5. The transformation should be applied automatically. If not, click Refresh to verify the visualization looks as intended.

   The following image shows a table with some fields re-ordered manually, Miles_per_Gallon field renamed, and fields such as Year and Origin hidden.

6. Save your dashboard.
