Open the new alert rule page and give your rule a clear name.

Open the New alert rule page

A clear, descriptive name is the first thing responders see when an alert fires. A good name tells them immediately what’s wrong without opening the alert details.

In this milestone, you’ll open the New alert rule page and name your rule.

  1. In the main menu, click Alerting > Alert rules.

  2. Open New alert rule. If QuickPizza installation redirects you to the dashboards folder, open the form again.

  3. If QuickPizza installation redirects you to the dashboards folder, reopen New alert rule.

  4. In Name, enter QuickPizza high error rate.

Your rule has a clear name. Next, you write the query in Code mode.
