Open the New alert rule page

A clear, descriptive name is the first thing responders see when an alert fires. A good name tells them immediately what’s wrong without opening the alert details.

In this milestone, you’ll open the New alert rule page and name your rule.

  1. In the left navigation menu, click Alerting > Alert rules.

  2. Open New alert rule. If QuickPizza installation redirects you to the dashboards folder, reopen the alert rule form.

  3. Open New alert rule and name the rule QuickPizza server errors.

Your rule has a clear name. In the next milestone, you build the query that defines what the alert monitors.
