Considerations

Self-hosting gives you complete control over data location and security, but you build and maintain the compliance infrastructure. Grafana Cloud provides certifications and private connectivity options, but within the regions and configurations Grafana Labs offers.

If you have data location or compliance requirements, your option matters. Grafana Cloud offers 15 or more regions, private connectivity, and certifications like SOC 2 and ISO 27001 out of the box. Self-hosting gives full control, but compliance is your responsibility.
