# Graphite

Grafana Cloud includes a hosted Graphite backend and a pre-provisioned Graphite data source that queries it. Graphite metrics you send are stored there. They are not stored in Grafana Cloud Metrics.

## How Graphite metrics are sent

- carbon-relay-ng accepts plain-text carbon input and sends it to the hosted Graphite endpoint.
- You can also send to the hosted Graphite HTTP API directly.
- Your stack’s pre-provisioned Graphite data source queries the metrics after they arrive.

The Graphite endpoints are on your stack details page, under Graphite.
