Prometheus remote write

Prometheus remote_write forwards scraped samples to a remote storage endpoint. To store those samples in Grafana Cloud Metrics, add a remote_write block to your Prometheus configuration with your Grafana Cloud Metrics endpoint and credentials.

Considerations

• You add a remote_write block to the Prometheus configuration.
• Grafana Cloud Metrics does not accept Prometheus’s separate push gateway. It receives samples through remote_write.
• You get the /api/prom/push URL, username, and password from the Hosted Prometheus metrics page under Connections in your stack, which also creates the token for you. The same values are on the Prometheus card in the Cloud Portal.
