Find and read your dashboards

Find and read your dashboards

After Alloy starts collecting and sending data, your prebuilt dashboards are ready in Grafana Cloud.

Open a dashboard

Find your integration’s dashboards in three steps:

  1. Click Dashboards in the main menu.
  2. Open the integration’s folder. For example, the Linux server integration creates a Linux Node folder.
  3. Select a dashboard to open it. For example, Nodes is a good starting dashboard for the Linux server integration.

Read what you see

A dashboard is empty until the first scrape, then the panels fill in. The scrape interval (the time between each collection), determines how soon data appears.

  • Time range: Sets the window of data shown, such as the last hour.
  • Refresh: Reruns the queries to pull the latest data.
  • Variables: Filter the dashboard, for example by instance

Script

After Alloy is collecting and sending data, your dashboards are waiting for you in Grafana Cloud. There’s nothing to build.

Click Dashboards in the main menu, open the integration’s folder, and select a dashboard. For the Linux server integration, the folder is called Linux Node and a good starting dashboard is Nodes.

A dashboard stays empty until the first scrape, then the panels fill in. The scrape interval, which is the time between each collection, controls how soon you see data.

From there, use the time range to set the window you’re looking at, refresh to pull the latest data, and variables to filter the view, for example by instance.
