# MySQL integration

The MySQL integration provides **database performance monitoring** for MySQL instances, whether standalone, replicated, or clustered. Running out of connections is a classic MySQL failure, and the InnoDB buffer pool hit ratio reveals whether your working set still fits in memory.

|--------------------|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| **What it’s for** | Monitoring query performance, connections, replication, and InnoDB health |
| **Under the hood** | Uses the mysqld exporter to read server status and InnoDB metrics |

## Metrics collected

The integration collects these MySQL metric groups:

- **Queries**: QPS, slow queries, query types
- **Connections**: Active, max, threads
- **InnoDB**: Buffer pool, I/O, row operations
- **Replication**: Lag, status, errors

## What to know

This integration offers:

- Prebuilt dashboards: MySQL, MySQL logs
- Prebuilt alerts: replication lag, slow queries, instance down
- Query performance and slow query visibility
- InnoDB buffer pool and I/O metrics
