# Windows integration

The Windows integration monitors the health and performance of Windows servers.

|--------------------|-----------------------------------------------------------|
| **What it’s for** | Monitoring health and performance of Windows servers |
| **Under the hood** | Uses the Windows exporter (`prometheus.exporter.windows`) |

## Metrics collected

The integration collects host and service metrics with these Windows exporter collectors:

- **CPU**: Processor time, queue length
- **Memory**: Available, committed, page faults
- **Disk**: Read/write bytes, queue depth
- **Network**: Bytes sent/received, errors
- **Services**: State, start mode

## What to know

This integration offers:

- Prebuilt dashboards: overview, CPU and system, disks, fleet overview, logs
- Prebuilt alerts: CPU, memory, disk, services
- Windows exporter collectors for CPU, memory, disk, network, and services
- Service state monitoring built-in
- If you also run IIS, the IIS integration in this journey covers the web server.
