Navigate Grafana resources

Find dashboards and resources

Describe what you need in plain language. Assistant can find dashboards, list data sources, and open Explore with a query already loaded, for example:

Find dashboards tagged “production” that include checkout metrics.

List Prometheus data sources available to me.

Open Explore with a LogQL query that filters checkout-service errors in the last 30 minutes.

For more prompts and workflows, refer to Navigate Grafana resources.

Instead of browsing folders to find what you need in Grafana, you describe it in plain language and let the Assistant find it for you. You can ask for dashboards by tag, metric name, or service. You can discover which data sources are available and drill into their metrics. You can even ask the Assistant to open Explore with a query already loaded, which saves setup time when you need to hand off context to another responder quickly.

When searching, use tags, metric names, or queries to narrow results. If multiple dashboards come back, ask the Assistant to compare them so you can decide which one to use. When you open a dashboard through the Assistant, it preserves your current time range so you don’t lose context.

For incident response, the Assistant can gather all dashboards and runbooks related to a service or problem, summarize what you’re using, include links, and open Explore with a pre-loaded query ready for another responder.
