If you haven’t deployed at least one collector instance, start with one of these courses first:

Ready to continue?

If you have a running collector and a Grafana Cloud account, you’re all set. Let’s learn how Fleet Management works.

Now let’s make sure you have what you need to get the most out of this journey.

You need a Grafana Cloud account (that’s where Fleet Management lives). And you need at least one collector deployed somewhere in your system. It could be on a Linux server, in a Kubernetes cluster, or even on your local machine for testing.

You should also have a basic understanding of telemetry concepts, such as what metrics and logs are, and the general idea of how collectors gather and send data. Nothing too advanced, just the fundamentals.

If you already have a collector running, you’re ready to continue. If not, take a few minutes to complete one of the prerequisite courses listed on this slide. They’ll get you up and running with your first collector, and then you can come back here to learn how to manage a fleet of them.
