What database integrations provide
Slide 1 of 9
Metrics, dashboards, and alerts for your database
Database integrations use Grafana Alloy to collect database-level metrics from your database and send them to Grafana Cloud. Each integration provides:
- Database-level metrics: connections, memory, and replication
- Prebuilt dashboards and alerting rules
- Broad coverage across MongoDB, Redis, Memcached, Cassandra, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle Database
How integrations work
Each integration has its own setup instructions, but they follow the same general pattern:
- Install Grafana Alloy on a host that can reach your database.
- Configure the exporter. Some exporters are built into Alloy, such as the Redis and Oracle Database exporters. Others run alongside it, such as the JMX exporter for Cassandra.
- Install the dashboards and alerts from the Connections page in Grafana Cloud.
Alloy scrapes metrics from the exporter and forwards them to Grafana Cloud via Prometheus remote write. Some integrations, such as Cassandra and Oracle Database, also collect logs and send them to Grafana Cloud Logs.
