## Prerequisites

To complete this journey, you’ll need:

- A Grafana Cloud account ([sign up for free](/signup/cloud/connect-account))
- At least one telemetry signal accessible in Grafana (metrics or logs)

## Data access options

You can access your telemetry already stored in Grafana Cloud or by connecting to your data with a data source:

| Data type | Access via data source | Data already in Grafana Cloud |
|-----------|------------------------|-------------------------------|
| Metrics   | Prometheus data source | Grafana Cloud Metrics         |
| Logs      | Loki data source       | Grafana Cloud Logs            |
