Alert rule version history

The alert rule history

Alerting has added a new feature that allows you to review, compare, and restore previous alert rules.

  • You now can restore old rule versions from the versions tab in the detail view.

  • For Immutable rules (rules that are provisioned, federated, or rules that come from a plugin), versions cannot be restored, only compared.

  • If when trying to restore a version, is not possible due to different changes in the environment, the UI redirects the user to the alert rule form with the version to recover. This allows you to review, correct the data, and save the rule.
