# Maximize security of collector deployments with scalable components

You can enforce the principle of least privilege and minimize attack radius by rotating credentials for your hosts with remote configuration in Fleet Management. Add the Alloy [`remote.vault`](https://grafana.com/docs/grafana-cloud/send-data/alloy/reference/components/remote/remote.vault/) component to your configuration pipelines to retrieve and rotate secrets using the [Key/Value v2 secrets engine](https://developer.hashicorp.com/vault/docs/secrets/kv/kv-v2).
