Build workflows

Note

Grafana Workflows is currently in public preview. Grafana Labs offers limited support, and breaking changes might occur prior to the feature being made generally available.

Use the pages in this section to build Grafana Workflows. Learn how to start from a blueprint, use the editor, choose when a workflow runs, pass data between steps with CEL expressions, and load Grafana IRM incident and alert group data.

  • Start from a blueprint
Start a new Grafana Workflow from the Blueprints library and customize it for your team.
  • Create workflows
Learn how to create and edit Grafana Workflows using the visual editor or YAML definitions, including adding steps, configuring fields, and defining branches.
  • Configure triggers
Configure event-based, schedule-based, and manual triggers for Grafana Workflows, including event matching rules, cron schedules, timezones, and deduplication.
  • Use CEL expressions
Use Common Expression Language (CEL) expressions in Grafana Workflows to access event data, reference step outputs, write conditions, and transform data between steps.
  • Load incident data
Load incident data from Grafana IRM into workflows as a resource, with automatic loading for incident events and explicit declarations for any workflow.
  • Load alert group data
Load Grafana IRM alert group data into workflows as a resource, with automatic loading for alert group events and explicit declarations for any workflow.
