# Get started with the Grafana mobile app

Set up the Grafana mobile app in a few short steps, from signing in to receiving your first push notification.

## Install and sign in

Download the app and sign in with your Grafana Cloud account or a QR code. Refer to [Install and sign in](/docs/grafana-cloud/platform/mobile-app/install-and-sign-in).

## Choose your products

The first time you sign in to a stack, the app asks you to **Set up Grafana**.

Under **Products**, turn each of the following on or off:

- **Grafana IRM** for schedules, alert groups, and incidents.
- **Assistant** for AI-assisted investigation and guidance.
- **Dashboards** for starred dashboards and panels.

Keep at least one product on, then tap **Continue**.

If you turn on **Grafana IRM** and haven’t set up notifications for this stack yet, the app opens a short wizard where you set your notification rules and push notification sounds. Otherwise, it opens **Home**.

You can change your product selection and your notification settings later in the **Settings** tab. Refer to [Manage settings and accounts in the Grafana mobile app](/docs/grafana-cloud/platform/mobile-app/settings).

## Find your way around

The app has four tabs:

- **Home** gathers the sections for the products you chose, such as **My schedules**, **My alert groups**, **My incidents**, and **Starred dashboards**.
- **Browse** lists the alert groups, schedules, incidents, and dashboards you have permission to see. Refer to [Choose which products you see](/docs/grafana-cloud/platform/mobile-app/settings/#choose-which-products-you-see) if a section you expect is missing.
- **Assistant** opens Grafana Assistant if your organization has it enabled. Refer to [Assistant on mobile](/docs/grafana-cloud/platform/mobile-app/assistant).
- **Settings** holds your account, product, push notification, and appearance options.

You might see fewer tabs if you turned products off, or if your organization doesn’t have them enabled.

To change which sections appear on **Home** and what order they’re in, open **Settings** and tap **Customize Home**.

## Confirm your stack

Tap your avatar or stack name on **Home** to check which Grafana Cloud stack you’re using. If you work across multiple stacks, connect them all so you can switch without signing in again. Refer to [Settings and accounts](/docs/grafana-cloud/platform/mobile-app/settings).

Your product choices apply to the stack you made them on, so you choose again the first time you open a newly connected stack.

## Set up push notifications

Grant notification permissions when prompted, then add push notifications to your personal notification rules so alerts reach your phone. Refer to [Configure push notifications](/docs/grafana-cloud/platform/mobile-app/push-notifications).

## Sync your Grafana IRM contact

Sync the known Grafana IRM phone numbers to your device contacts so you can recognize IRM calls. Refer to [Settings and accounts](/docs/grafana-cloud/platform/mobile-app/settings/#sync-your-grafana-irm-contact).
